Built upon the client’s existing CRM system this was just one of many extra functions: a user interface to allocate tasks to design staff.
The department manager had a list of unallocated tasks sorted by deadline. They were colour coded to make life easier and they all were given an estimated time. The list showed that there was 340 hours of work to allocate. They could click on any one task to get the full spec, drawings, images etc.
Tasks could be moved between staff as they saw fit. Once completed they disappeared from these lists.
