FMUG Southwest – for anyone interested in Claris’ FileMaker, business analysis, process mapping, automating work flows – or admin systems in general.

If you have even a passing interest in FileMaker Pro from Claris, databases, bespoke software, spreadsheets, CRM or admin systems in general why not pay the FileMaker User Group (South West UK) a visit?

Meeting online or in person (in a pleasant pub just off the M5 junction 22) on the second Monday night of every other month. It’s a friendly, open group that welcomes all comers and ability levels, from beginners up to advanced programmers. In fact you don’t have to be a FileMaker user to come! A few come with pre-prepared presentations, more turn up with examples of issues and questions, most just go with the flow and join in.

Topics for discussion include, but are not limited to:

FileMaker programming
AI
Database design
Custom app creation for iOS, Mac and PC
Bespoke software for business applications
Improving admin systems, especially spreadsheets!
Business analysis, process mapping and workflows
Barcode/QR code generation and scanning
Integration with 3rd party apps. Zero, Sage, QuickBooks, google…
What’s wrong with clients
What’s good on the menu at the bar(!)
Claris/FileMaker Pro discussion

At the Claris/FileMaker User Group (South West) you’ll find answers to your programming problems, FileMaker tips, bespoke software design ideas and generally, a useful pool of information on all things. Even how to make vast improvements with your admin!

The attendees include professional Claris/FileMaker Pro programmers, enthusiastic amateurs, beginners and coders from other disciplines, such as PHP/MySQL/JavaScript/HTML/CSS, online marketeers, business analysts, management consultants and, on occasion, representatives from FileMaker and Apple.

There always plenty of help for new users with their individual database requirements, questions and queries.
